The show ended last year on high note, and the storyline is unique. I'd avoid reading reviews because it revolves around a major plot point, it'll ruin the experience.

Rise of the Merlin is only season 1, with 7 episodes

so will there be more seasons? dunno. maybe but i don't think this has been confirmed.

however dailywire+ have television and film rights to the entire pendragon cycle so this kind of points to an intention to do more seasons.

knowing this means that if you are interested in this stuff it'd be good to get all the books, not just Taliesin and Merlin
