ehh I've come to realize that most good Chinese artists aren't even that well known nowadays; only known within HK, Taiwan and the mainland, due to the fact that mandopop is dying within the overseas chinese community..

To an oldie all new Chinese songs sound Western. I like He Ri Jun Zai Lai by Zhou Xuan (must have been recorded over 60 years ago).
