Hey all,
I am *cough* over 25, and have just completed my first week at UTS, in the Communications (Journalism) degree.
Going to lectures and tutes this week, I have rarely come across any older-looking people (older than say, 20 anyway) and suffice it to say, have felt a little out of place as a consequence. Okay, well very out of place!
Considering the size of UTS in general, and the reputation of its communications degree in particular, I was expecting there to be more of a mix of students. It's possible that I may have just been allocated to classes that do not have any older students in them, and that there may be some in other class groups. I don't know.
So, just wondering if there are any mature age journalism students out there, or know of any doing the course in either first, second or third year.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
