Just finished my 4 unit maths test

the new is that i screwed it up

6 questions i attempted 5
did like 16 sub questions and i reckon i only got 10 of them right.

how is this affecting my aggregate mark at the end of hsc.
how important is this half yearly 4 unit test?
because if im gonna keep up like this.might as well drop it back to 3 units.

How much it's going to affect will depend on the weighting, which I imagine is about 15%. That means that the results of this test will be worth 15% of your school mark, which goes towards determining your position, which is the important thing.

Basically, it comes down to two things
a) how everyone else went in the test - because all that matters is your ranking in your grade, not your marks
b) how much you are struggling with the 4u course - of course, the 4u course is not meant to be easy, but if you find 4u is taking too much time away from other subjects and is not worth the effort, you may want to drop it.

thanks

well. i think the half yearlies is 30%

there is only 2 people in my class who is doing 4unit
me and another girl

and i dont imagine

and apparently she did worse than me so
i guess if its true what you said.that what really matters is the ranking in that subject.

ill be alrite then?

but the thought of doing 4 unit maths in hsc scares me to death
what if i panicked and forgets everything.
the teachers says even if you get like 50% in 4 unit
that is considered to be pretty good.

I have a good grasp of maths comparing to other subjects but i cant think properly if i panick

If you and the girl both do well, your school mark will be quite favourable. For the HSC, if you can manage to get the first few questions out error free, you're well on your way to quite a decent mark. It really depends what you're aiming for.
