Because I don't.

I never came up with a degree preference for anything this low, now i'm lost, 5 points or more behind my lowest preference. How hard is it to change degrees once enrolled at uni? If you achieve good results within uni, you can change easily enough right? I didnt research any courses for UAIs lower than 80 so not sure they exist...

Yeah, me. I have no idea. I'm bloody stupid.

My EE1 teacher, who doubles as my EE2 teacher (and is the curriculum co-ordinator) rang me.

Asked for my UAI.

Then started giving me a pep talk about transferring, being better than that, how a numerical UAI cannot describe me, how I can recover, shit like that.

Try to chose a course in your desired Uni. Chose subjects which may be useful in your desired degree, when chosing your subjects. Work hard. And hope for a transfer.

Yeah that's what he said.

Most first year courses have the same foundations.

Do whatever, kick ass, transfer out.

I don't even know what I'm to do now, stupid ... intelligent... people.

I'll pick a course, just for the girls.

But I'll work hard (and "play" hard :p)

Also, if I missed out on a course by 2.3 points, what course of action could I take for the Uni to consider me anyway? Like writing letters or whatever? Addressed to whom? Saying what?

You should pick what type of girls, while you're at it. ;)

Ahh I see. I remember the cutbacks now... Will we be able to find out the cutoffs for courses before a final round of offers at all? Or can we see them now or what?

Once all the Preferences are finalised, places will be given out - ie. main round cut-offs will be known. So Yes.

You lot are lucky, in that the year after you will face less non-full fee playing places.
