i hope the demand for it is lower, so that people who have average UAIS and tertiary results can get in

first yr timetable would most likely consist of:

chem 1 and 2
med sci 1 and 2
cells genetics and evolution
statistical design and analysis (ull be doing more stats in 2yr though)
biomolecules
physical aspects of nature

i think this is the general layout for forensics ppl...

timetable as azn said would be 24 hrs a week, but 1st yr is easy as :)

Depends on which forensic course you select.

The people I (used) to know who did straight forensics have a variety of branches to choose from.

Your first year timetable consists essentially 2 cores and 2 electives. Med Sci. to name a few is one of them. So you don't have a "set" timetable so to say, even starting from first year.

Timetable as the previous posters have already posted 24hours.

To top it all off, you have to maintain a minimal credit average in your first year or else you get well, kicked out so to say.

It's a demanding course to say the least and your course director, for memory Tamara isn't very nice.

Hope that doens't put you off lol

yes yes yes, everything he said except they dont generally do stats til second year so in second semester its principles of forensic science, fairly straight forward subject, 2 lectures per week, shit loads of reading (thats forensic biol)

for forensic chem there are similar subjects except no cge, they do maths during first semester, physical aspects of nature, chem aaaaaaaaand med sci, second sem im not sure but i think more maths and p.o.f blah dee blah :p check out the handbook, generally its up to 3 hours of lectures per week + up to 3 hours of labs for each subject so yeah about 24 hrs pr week, obviously will differ with each sub.

i blabbed :(

tamara is awesome once you get used to her

good luck to those transferring/applying :)

(i'd do forensic chem if i could do the combined degree with int. studies :( it's a bloody awesome degree)
