im in yr 12 and really fuckin wanna do philosophy at sydney.

anyone here do it? whats it like? do u like it? do you feel enlightened? lol

i do it. first sem was alright, kinda boring, this sem is so far better.

well I didn't do PHIL1010 during first semester, however, this semester I decided to do PHIL1011 it's "reality, ethics and beauty". So far we have been talking about an argument for the existance of God...picking it apart...and saying it's not a convincing argument blah blah. But yeah it is definately interesting and a nice refreshing change from the suffocating subjects I did first semester. ie.accounting.

So definately give PHIL a try and engage the grey matter between your ears. It certainly is fun! And the lecturer is quite a funny dude too...come's up with the most weird examples which have some really dry humour underlying them. I.e. today we were talking about alternate worlds ... he thought Jellybean world or Lego world were really possible alternatives...Hehe.

Hope you get to Usyd and the chance to philosophise....
