Anyone getting a PC for their exams? (3 Viewers)

i think its a bit diff in the actual exams though
depends on the school as well
some are lenient, some are tough!
stupid tough schools

wow i never heard of this before!!
on a good day (when my fingers aren't cold) I can type 120 words per minute
I should've done it for english
ahh well too late now

you have to do it for every subject excep maths if you apply though

having no spell check leaves you to do a lot of mistakes
you have to continually look at what your typing

You have to type using notepad

it sucks you cant use word

what about rearanging your work?

Like in eng essays i always start writing, finish a point, start a new paragraph then remember some brilliant point i gotta wedge in! But i cant...

I think its a major advantage.

I wouldn't call it a MAJOR advantage, and its quite possibly evened out by some of the disadvantages of using a PC... *struggles to think of any*... Like, um, accidentally deleting it all! Or a power failure! Or, um, a computer virus!

they stress the importance in the letter of CONTINUALLY SAVING UR WORK
havent used the comp b4 in an exam
but after my trials, ill tell u how it is.

My writing is shocking and they were supid enough to ask me to be a reader and writer for someone last year...although...they get extra time...so I could take the time to write neatly for them...

My own exams on the other hand are terrible...especially english I wish I could use a computer for my exams

Well computers are better than writers, i dont think i could dictate an entire essay to somebody.....

I agree, you also wanna hope ur writer has neat writting and good spelling...unlike me lol

I would love to use a laptop too, but unformunately like Deus i have very neat handwriting. I am a quick typer, so it would be great to have a laptop for the exams.
But i do think that it is an advantage because the essay (or whatever) is able to be easily edited by the student on a computer, that the writing student. Using notepad only is a good idea, but there was a kid at my school last year who got to use microsoft word...

I talked to my teachers today and i have to do some sample essays 2morro for it :S
My writing is horrible, my teacher said i'd probably lose some marks in the HSC for it, so she recomended me to get a laptop
