Anyone going to see Serenity? (1 Viewer)

Although Serenity has gotten really bad reveiws, is anyone still going to see it. Just remember that Buffy (and Angel for that matter) started out the same way.
Personally, any well-scripted (note: scripted and not acted) sci-fi and i'm there lol

Good review in The Australian too.

I was at JB Hifi the other day and spotted Firefly Tv Series DVDs and it looks really similar and apparently the movie is based on that series? I'm not really a big fan of Buffy, Angel or the mind behind them so yeah...fill me in.

tv show starts
(a couple episodes later)
tv show gets cancelled
(a few hundred thousand copies of the dvd later)
movie gets made

seen it. Loved it Joss whedon fans will like it without having to have seen the movie there is enough one liners and chick who kick butt to tide over any Whedon fan.

I will be going to see it. The Movie Show gave it good reveiws, and thought it was a good start for Joss whedon in the movie game, though they said that it was like watching a TV show.

Saw it last night. Really enjoyed it, but that said, I am a fan of Firefly so yeah.

Funny flick, witty, sharp dialogue, great effects, and just a whole lot of fun. Answers some questions left from the show, and introduces a whole new audience to these characters.

Check it out, definetly worth a view!

it is an effing fantastic film for both firefly fans and newbies to the series. Seriously, i cannot rave enough about this film, everyone should see it - FANS MUST SEE IT!!!!!

such a fantastic flick... joss whedon is an evil genius, he'll fuck with you til you can't take it anymore but you still have to come back for more...

I thought it sucked ass. The characters were flat and predictable, as was the storyline.
But my friends seemed to like it so I guess I'm just an anomaly.

I loved the series, so I'll be heading off to see Serenity some time during the exams (when it finally get here that is).

If only River would die and go away and burn, and the Alliance lost it's crappy looking ships, weapons, hats and Starship Troopers(Movie) armour.

wishful thinking that it'll be there after hsc. After its second week it dropped to 4 session times at my local cinema which is a big one i might add. See it now before its too late.

best movie ive seen all year, and on my top fav's list.
i love the series too.
the series is great, i watched it all in 2 days after the movie and im still waiting to buy my own copy....

yeah ..i saw Serenity--it was cool!

but the reason i watched it was for the guy who played "Mr. Universe" ---(David Krunmholtz) who plays Charlie eppes in Numb3rs..i reckon he is so cute.. he he eh..any way...i started a numb3rs thread for those who like numb3rs..
