why's that soha :(
well i have a fringe andmy hair is shortish and layered and my hair is curly so i have to straighten it and blowdry it every day
then because its curly it flicks out
and because im very impatient and i do a dodgy job i give up on it and just tie it back
so its a wasted haircut...and i just cant be bothered to maintain it really..or style it

oh wellz

Yeah, I cut my hair a lot shorter to start year 7. I was pretty miserable about it afterwards because it felt so funny and cold (I kept it near my waist from year 3 until year 6)...although I managed to sell it for like 50 bucks because it was black and thick and long at the time so I can't say I completely regretted it.

argh :chainsaw: still at a total loss...
im not too worried about it looking bad as such, just more about the maitainence.
My hair is quite wavy, and i dont want to be straightening it everyday, as soha said she has to do. :p
is it possible to have short, and crazy wavy hair and not have to put in hours everyday?
im guessing not? ;)

i have crazy wavy hair too and i suck at styling my hair..so when i got it cut short and it went all weird (and i didn't have a straightener), i just shoved it in a pony tail and bobby pinned where needed..i thought it looked cute hehe :D..would look better if you had a fringe or side-fringe though i think (although i guess it depends)

I'm spending 3x the amount on hair products now that my hair is short.

The reason i ask, is because i am considering getting my hair cut... short (not short-short, but just above my shoulders, and really layered) .
i've always had very long hair, and dont really mind it, but i want to jazz it up, and cutting seems like the best option. :uhhuh:
Only problem is, everyone is advising me against it;
"you'll regret it"
"its so much harder to manage, especially if you have wavy hair"

Any advice?
i have that thought every time i go for a haircut, but the next day you'll be glad you did it...just bring out the positives...shorter may be a tad cooler in winter, but should be easier to manage

I say go for it.
A few years ago, about halfway through year 12 I decided I hated my elbow-length hair, had it cut to my chin and LOVED it. The only thing I regret is not getting it done sooner.
It was easier to maintain, I found. I have wavy hair and I wear it straight or wavy. If I wanted to blowdry my hair, I could do it in a matter of minutes using just my fingers to style it. So much better.
