It's a "Non-Course Academic Requirements" training for students who do labs. Even if you will never be involved in a lab that involves things like chemicals or things that affect the environment, you should still do it - it takes like 10 minutes. What then happens is every week, those who have successfully completed that training will have their myUNSW NCARs updated:

Its similar to having an OHS requirement (we had one that we had to do to get access to our labs).
