15-20 hours a week at Bunnings... It's alright, the pay is decent, and I need the money to save for schoolies.

I started my first and only job bout 2 weeks after the HSC ended. I know that a job during the HSC would've just been a burden. My time was my time, so if I needed to do an assessment there wasn't a job or a cranky manager to worry about. However, I think someone mentioned that they need a job to keep them sane, and I can see how that would be true (its definitely the case for me and uni at the moment, if it wasn't for work I would have had a breakdown!). So if you need the job as a little diversion, I suggest keeping it to 1-2 shifts a week of no more than 5 hours each. Hehe theres my 2 cents.

i wish i had an interesting job like that..

i'm in year 12 too, 8hrs every week at a chemist - THE boringest job ever. And i used to work at maccas during the holidays but the pay is (relatively) crap it's not worth going unless it's public holiday

oh no I used to work at aussie stadium/scg... frodo, you ever worked stadium 17 at the scg? i got put on there like every single fucking shift and it was the worst one, constantly busy (like never slowed at all), had some bitch named rachel i think as a supervisor and was in the yobbo section...
I didn't mind working football etc... cricket was just a pain in my ass cuz you never knew how long you'd be there

Wow, like all these other threads the responses are so sad. You can easily do 20+ hours of work and still get a 'good enough uai'.

I did 3 NIGHTS a week while doing the HSC and got 95+ UAI.

Now i am working 5-6 NIGHTS and going to uni full time.

$ is a golden drive.
