The head of the Australian Christian Lobby and former special forces soldier Jim Wallace has "unreservedly" apologised for commenting against gay marriage and Muslims on Anzac Day.
Jim Wallace, the managing director of ACL, wrote on Twitter this morning: "Just hope that as we remember Servicemen and women today we remember the Australia they fought for - wasn't gay marriage and Islamic!"
Mr Wallace was heavily criticised on Twitter for his comments.

No one is really disputing the fact that that's true. The grubbiness comes from the implication that the absence of something from Australian society in 1915 necessarily implies it's undesirable at the present point in time, which is patently ridiculous.

The offensiveness of the statement then comes from using this particular bit of pants-down retarded logic to malign two groups his particular ultra conservative sky fairy worshipping lobby group doesn't much like on a day intended for respect and reverence of those that got killed serving the country.
