For all those considering doing Applied finance & Commerce- Professional Accounting at Macquarie Uni, may you please tell me what ATAR you are aiming for and what ATAR you honestly think you can get given your half yearly results and all? Thanks :)

I know its a bit hard to say now and there is still some way to go but if you could reply to this that would be great as I am most likely going to consider studying Applied finance & Commerce- Professional Accounting at Macquarie Uni and I would like to know what type of people, competition etc. I am going to be up with and all. Cheers :)

Hey. I am considering Applied Finance at MQU, but its third on my preferences. I'm aiming for an atar of 94+, so I can get into UNSW or USyd Commerce. If I don't make it I'll do Applied Finance at MQU, but idk if I'll combine it with anything or not. Maybe try transfer into AF/Law after a year. My atar estimate taken after my mid years was 91. Just had a rather painful maths assessment today... If my trials go excellently I could go to UNSW/USyd, but at the moment it would be macquarie.

Do you want to do accounting as a career?

I applied for that course and I think the cut off was like 88?

Basically 90+ will easily secure you a spot.

yeh cool guys, im on the same boat as well, keen on finance/accounting and hopefully some finance career later on. Hoping to get around 91 at least, should be sweet then, cause I've seen for last 5+ yrs, highest cut off was like 88.2, maybe more, so yeh. I am also considering, Finance/ Statistics at ANU, not sure if thats good though but seems pretty solid, especially the finance degree and also Maths/Finance at UTS. Thanks for your input people :)
