I havent done any serious applied finance units yet so I cant comment on what it's like yet.

Graduates are qualified to work in banking and finance, both in aus and overseas. Specialists in financial instiitutions, treasury and finance departments of large private companies, security and currency trading, portfolio management, and general financial and investment advising.

My guess is that you learn about financial instruments and maths initially, then move onto analysis.

hi,

no, they are not exactly the same. However, they are very similar. In the double degree, you have to do 2 core accounting subjects and a core computing subject. But with the single Applied Finance degree, you only have to do one accounting subject and the computing subject is an option.

But you can definetly drop out of the double degree to Applied Finance as you would have done more than what you would need to do if you did Applied Finance in 1st year.

Cheers.

Don't think so; they do ACST211 1st year.

100, 200 etc are levels. The higher the number, the higher the level. Usually they will match what year you are in. But not always. If you are in 2nd yr, u can still choose to take out elective that's 100 for eg. And acst211 is another example of this. But generally they indicate the years.
