hey, guys, i'm thinking of applying for selective high school for entry into year 11 next year. due to some reasons, i can only apply either Fort Street High or North Sydney Boys High. which one do you recommend me to apply for - which one is easier to get in? how many students apply for each school generally and how many vacancies do they offer?

any ideas would be appreciated !!!!!!

Fort Street is ranked lower than NSB iirc.

I strongly recommend applying to both if you can, not sure about the intake but it could be 10-20 students.

I would assume both are hard to get accepted in. However, if I had to decide which school is harder, I would have to say North Sydney because of their ridiculously hard entry test. What are your reports like?

These are important factors to take into consideration when applying for a selective:

- Whether or not you have had siblings in the school before.
- Your reasons to attend a selective school.
- Your ability to cope against much more determined and I assume, clever people.
- Desire on whether to access single sex or co-ed schools.
- Proximity and ease of access to get to school.

Try and consider which one outweighs the other.

NSB is good is don! From a bias point of view NSB is good because you may be more motivated due to awesomer peers (like me)

Fort Street! It's a good school, most teachers are decent and our grade is awesome :D Heaps of people got accepted last year, more than 10 I think.
