Applying through UAC (1 Viewer)

Just got a question or two.

When UAC works through our preferences, we are given a selection rank and that rank is made up of 50% UAI and 50% GPA. How do they get our GPA? Do we have to send them our transcripts or do they obtain them from the uni?

Also, could we just get a selection rank based on UAI alone and not use the GPA?

Yes, UAC obtains your transcript from your university to calculate your GPA
And no, when u transfer after 1st year, its always 50% UAI and 50% 1st yr GPA

Why would u want it to be just UAI based, assuming u didnt make the UAI cutoff for the course u intend to transfer to in the first place?

What if you did make the cut-off the year before but chose a really low uai course and now you want to use that uai again to gain entry to a higher uai?

what happens if you totally screw the hsc and get into a really low course that you put as your safety net, but you then blitz your uni studies?
like, (this is just some queer arse example)
UAI= 65..................GPA=I dunno, whatever the highest you can get is

would they take into account your increased work ethic and success and all since uni?

Well firstly, if you stuffed up uni, the UAI alone might actually giv you a higher slection rank than combining it with the GPA. and also, the selection rank of a course for a NRSL is generally lower than that for yr 12 cut offs.
