Are, you looking for a particular side, angle, focus?
Sadly with a subject such as this 'general' is too 'general' and can deeply affect the bias in the source itself.

im doing this topic to, and im after some notes on it in general but in paticular i would really really like some notes on terrorism in the development of the arab-israeli conflict between 1948-1990

Jumping the gun somewhat! Decide that your word is terrorism and you'll indicate to your tutor how narrow your view of the topic really is.
