Kulazzi... do u think it SHOULD be release when it WAS a group of muslims that committed a gang rape?

There DOES seem to be a problem with alot of groups of european and arab males.... they ARE commiting gang rapes etc more often than white men and I don't think it's wrong to point that out as there is obviously a problem that needs to be addressed. European (italy, czech), arab men seem to have been brought up in cultures where women are second to men... i know this is a bit of a blanket statement but alot of girls i know from such families find that this is the case in a disproportionate amount compared with white australian families..

Australians in general don't like the idea that a woman should be FORCED to cover up her body.
no one forces the women...btw
and if they do its not a arab muslim thing
its a stupid thing that the person individual has in them wether they be white black or whatever

they might have been? There's alot of arabs/european males in penrith lol
I don't think i'm being unfair... i think it is culturally more common for people of these nationalities to see women as 2nd to men.
well you have ur opinion
doesnt mean its true
and maybe some might
or it may seem like they do..and i know many arabs who are asswipes like that
but its a generalisation...theres heaps of good ppl out there

It's not a generalisation when i'm saying it's more common, a generalisation would be me saying all of them were like this.

I just feel that the womens movement, civil rights etc haven't hit some cultures as much as the strong western cultures..
While it's true there are probably a large bunch of aussie guys from extremely conservative families that still believe women are 2nd to men it's less likely that there are more of these...

So a girl in a muslim family can take off her scarf, start wearing mini dresses etc if she wanted?
if she so desires..
its between her and God..its religous
not arab..religon.
my sisters friend took the hejab off
my friends auntie took it off and so did her sister..(this was after wearing nicab)..that covers the whole face
this was to adapt to the australian culture..no one made them..their choice to wear it and their choice to leave it

i'm not saying that it's religious or anything.. just the culture of people from these nationalities it seems to be more common...
I think the government should do something about this for sure tho... i feel men are seeing women as more lowly in all australian culture these days...

I mean it's seen that women are the ones that should cook for the men, that they are just sexual objects etc.
Things have definately improved globally, and there'll always be dickheads in any culture, but i think the improvements haven't been as strong in these cultures as it was never pushed as much there.

lets get back to the aim of the thread
i think the slur against arabs and muslims is over now isnt it?

it was most predominant just after the u know wat attacks a few years ago.
like that statement that palestinians were celebrating those attacks (they're not arabs but close enough)

my whole school went all political after those attacks.. my chem teacher told me that there was no way to verify if the footage of palestinians can be justified or not.

i stopped and thought he's right! thats exactly how i fet after hearing about the children overboard affair. anywayz i went home looked at the footage again on my pc online and this is what i found:

-no American flags being burnt (or israeli for that matter)
-no efigies of the us president (being burnt)
-no slogans of any sort
-just an old lady clapping her hands and children dancing

somewhat doesnt justify the claim that (all) palestinians are celebrating the attacks.

some footage may be taken out of context too. compare how 2-3 news channels use a footage to describe events in fallujah, and another channel uses it to talk about an uprising in Najaf.....that made Najaf look like a war zone!!!

i dont care what people say or think..... but i would recommmend everyone to stop and think about what they are reading... it might just make ur analytical capabilities stronger.

thanks man it's amazing.

I disagree that the arabs are seeing the war from cameras on the other side... has any footage been released of iraqi insurgants accidently killing civilians? because i'm sure it has happened numerous times.
