yeah, ppl regret doing standard after a while. mainly cos they find out the crap scaling of it all, and also stand is prolly too easy for them.

currently persuading good friend of mine to switch to adv for yr 12 cos im such a good samaritan

Hmmm...well I likes my subjects...although I'll probably end up doing alright with it, I'm not a fan of adv. english...adv. maths and ext 1 maths is pretty straightforward...and chemistry, physics and agriculture rock...

if i had to choose again i would definitly not do 4u maths!
it would be more like this:
Adv Eng
Physics
Chemistry
2u SOR
3u Maths
IT Vet

yes 13units but IT Vet u dont do work
the amount of work for 4u maths i believe would equate to as much as physics and ipt add together!!!!!
4u although scales good, really waste of time

Advanced English
General Maths
Biology
IPT
SDD

If I could, I would take 2-unit Maths instead of General; General's too easy. I'd probably also contemplate an English extension and maybe Chemistry instead of IPT.

ipt
business studies

if i got to pick again, i would do:
adv eng (maybe 3u)
gen maths
mod history
ipt
and some tafe course

i don't exactly fall to bits in love over what i chose
(4u maths, 3u eng, chem and phys)
but they haven't been too bad and it's not like i've absolutely dreaded going to classes so i can't say i regret it.

If anything i guess i wish i'd continued japanese, but the allure of free periods was just too much =)
