I bombed out in one ancient paper (80%) and thrashed everyone in later exams/trials but still this girl beat me, not by much though. I still don't get the kudos of getting an award for that subject

Advanced english I was ranked 6th after some really bs marking! the girls who are beating me have never dealt with a question they haven't rote learnt and so they'll probably end up stealing my decent HSC score. grrrrr

Definitely, considering I came 1st in everything except MX1. lol

One of the teachers at my school confused me the other day... he said that ranks can still change with the exam. I think he meant that assessment ranks can change if someone does better than you in the exam, obviously he has misunderstood the system.

I kept saying that you keep your internal rank regardless, but it is still possible for someone to gain a higher HSC mark than you for that subject, even though you're ranked first.

Dropped from 5th to 10th in Economics
Haven't received ranks back for business and general, but pretty sure I dropped in both aswell.
Still 2nd in legal, really wanted to come 1st

but in my school we award top 3, in each subject..

In the ancient Olympics there wre only prizes for 1st, the rest were just 'losers'.

I am very happy with Chemsitry, Physics, Earth & Enviromental Science, Geography and English Advanced. Maths 2U and Extension 1 are only average though, althoguh I have improved a lot.
