At my school we are doing SURVIVAL as the Area of Study for English.

I was just wondering if it's the same for everyone?

gee you guys are all doing good ones....especially Change because there'd still be heaps of old hsc resources around

we did "Australian Identity", which meant watching Crocodile Dundee and singing Waltzing Matilda

http://www.boredofstudies.org/view.php?course=31#31.2 for starters.....

you could do a search on old threads in the area of study hsc forum
to do this, simply go to the area of study forum and go to the last page, then work your way backwards. There should be some good threads there.

edit: there is already a subforum devoted to it: http://community.boredofstudies.org/475/old-focus-change/

edit again: also the hsc standards packages might be useful - having a look at some of the paper 1 question 3 high range responses could give you ideas or teach you how to approach questions

I did change - as far as I am concerned, I never want to hear that word or one of its synonyms again. Ever.

Mind you, it is halla easy to write good essays with change, because everything can be related to change.

I loved change. Change was a million times easier than The Journey for HSC - although I ended up really liking journeys as well.

our first unit of work is poetry- specifically, John Donne's poetry.
It's not our AOS. I though the AOS had to be a novel, i did't know it could be poetry. I would prefer to do poetry because i am Kickass at it.
