area of triangle vs sine rule (1 Viewer)

This is not an extension1 topic but I guess 3U students have greater chances to know the answer...

Area of triangle ABC = 0.5 * AB * AC * sinBAC

Is that formula related to the sine rule for a triangle (a/sinA=b/sinB=c/sinC), and if so, can you show their connection??
How to go from the sine rule to the area formula.
