sorry i was just wondering how important a major in arts can be in a degree. i'm going to be doing a combined degree b social work / b arts and i think they only offer me like one "approved major sequence" thingo.

i originally wanted to do a major in history but i'm finding that development studies is really interesting as well. but in a history major there are also a lot of development studies courses.. so now i don't know which one i should choose... because in history i can do my history courses as well as those in dev. studies.. so yea.. help anyone?

here are the links to the courses/majors/ etc

Hi!

There are many avaliable majors that you can do in your arts degree and you should choose a major that is of interest to you- a major that appeals to you most.

That said, it would be beneficial to choose a major that will also complement the social work degree as well. I think that the development studies major does fit in very well with the social work degree.

But remember you will also have electives and general education courses to choose- so you still can do history if you wanted to by using up these options with history subjects. Its like your getting the best of both worlds.
