hi

if i did an arts degree at usyd

and i wanted to combine it with another degree like commerce

what marks are looked at? uai and uni? or jsut uni?

it depends on when u apply

uni mks are only taken into account if u have completed a full yr of study

if u apply, mid year, they will judge based on your UAI (to the arts/commerce cut off)

end yr: they either take your GPA or UAI, depending which is higher


the above is written from vague memory from browsing this forum and may not be 100% accurate...

No - they actually take 50% Uni 50% GPA. See the forum on transfers for more information.

Arts/Commerce is in the area of 95

yeah different combined arts degrees have different entry cutoffs
they convert your uni results (HD, D, C, P) into a mark and average that with your UAI

usually you'll have to apply through UAC like you did after the HSC. you won't get a new UAI you'll just find out along with the year12s whether you get in or not

some courses have mid-year entries, but from memory i don't think arts/commerce is one of them. if you're already doing a similar course try talking to the arts faculty or something.
