Anyone who did As you like it for belonging, can you please help me find significiant belonging apart from the belonging to place, and the love between the characters? I know the love is a type of belonging, but its not a strong argument

Any tips/directions/notes?

Thanks

It's probably easiest to come up with ideas by considering an essay question (have a look at some past HSC ones or practise questions). Essentially, you can talk about the sources of belonging (family, friendship, romantic love, affinity with environment), the causes of alienation (oppression, rejection, Jacques' attitudes), the link between identity and belonging (Rosalind - assumes a new identity in Arden, which allows her to be herself, Orlando - is denied his status/identity by Oliver), the difference/link between belonging to place vs belonging to people etc.
