this is the question we are given:
Evaluate how major advances in technologiy and scientific knowledge have changed scientific thinking about evolutionary relationships

its a 10 marks essay limited to 2 pages

I can't remember exactly because I'm at school now and don't have my bio folder, but I think you're meant to discuss palaentology and a few other things. Sorry for the VERY sketchy and limited help, but I can help you out when I get home. Embryonic study I think is another one. I.e. Examining the embryo of different species at different stages for similarities and differences to identify possible relationships.

Adding on to what fretsonfire74 said, technology allows scientists to map genomes of species, which, can be a good evidence in determining how "close" two species are on evolutionary pathways.
