Usually, at the end or middle of an interview, you would be asked "do you have any questions". What are some good generic questions to ask to showcase your enthusiasm and whichever? ...

say "what are the opportunities for advancement within the company?" works like a charm. just don't ask what the pay is. apparently it's the biggest interview no no. i did it and got the job though! (that was at maccas years ago)

it's very difficult to list what exactly should be asked during an interview, thus it is vital to do research on the employer/the business and find out things which you think will interest both you and the employer, so you can question them on that matter, after all i am sure everyone takes alook at the employer's profiles some time during their job application.

Ask what characteristics the company is looking for in the successful candidate and from the interviewer's perspective how you measured up.

Ask the interviewer about his/her expereince with the company.

Ask about the culture of the company - i.e its brand, what it stands for, what's important to them.

They need to decide if you are right for the job. You need to decide whether the company is right for you, so ask questions that will help you learn more about the company, apart from their PR.
