hopefully they wont make the exam to hard, but judging by the last one, there isn't much luck.

That is so true, it's like a little HSC every fortnight, and you really care about every little mark ...

It's like the HSC...with 5 times as much work, and a LOT harder-but without the added pressures of doing well. In UNI-all you really need to do is pass (which is actually easier said that done, but so long as you pass-no one could give a fats rats crack what yur final marks were, unlike a UAI.)
But I dunno, i don't resent working as much as I did at high school...I figure I am here by choice, I did a damn lot of work to get here, and am paying thousands of dollars to be here working my arse off-theres no use complaining. (well...at least not complain too much:p )

well...I guess it was different, in the HSC, it was mostly spent practicing questions/studying...but at Uni, u have to do a lot of work to keep up...coz since they go so fast in lectures, if u fall behind and dont catch up, u'll fail!

I agree wit butterfly wings - u do work at uni coz ur there for a reason, u worked hard to get, and ur paying the fees to be there.

but jus think of the poor souls who want to transfer and have to maintain a distinction average

yeah, the stuff Im doing, I sorta like, and Im paying for it so I figure I better do the work. I do wonder though how the people that are up to date keep it that way, cause I do heaps of work, and Im never fully ahead or anything  maybe they really dont have a social life.

and lol, Im ones of those 'poor souls' who wants to transfer ...

OMG yes, exactly! I don't have a job, and do a coupel of hours of UNI work every evening during the week and dedicate most of my weekends for catchup...and I still always seem to be two steps behind everyone else! I have friends who work like 20 hours a week, and who go out with friends and stuff all the time and keep up with other commitments...who still manage to keep up! Where the fuck to people find all their time?!

Continuing from jessika:

- They have perfected the art of multitasking
- They never sleep
- They are addicted to coffee, guaranna and other such substances
- They can time travel
- They have a clone who they force to do half of there work

But most telling:
- They don't post on this forum :D

I might live to regret this but....

I have less work than I did in the HSC year, and I'm not having that much trouble keeping up.

OTOH I did 13 units last year.

Short travel time is a totally separate issue, you're the first to mention it :p. BTW I set a new record for getting to uni by bus - 11 mins on Friday :D.

Yes - B.Com/LL.B @ UNSW :)

There is a fair bit to do, but still, it's less than what I had to handle last year :). With 4u maths, phys, chem and 3u French there was a good bit to do...
