No. USyd does things a little differently. Timetable usually comes out two weeks before semester starts.

Sorry for the late reply - you do not get to create a timetable from scratch. When you enrol and list your UoS you will receive a personalised timetable from the university in which you get to customise by selecting what time you are/are not available. You will not be able to pick your classes. That is the system we run by.

There are opportunities in o-week and the first two weeks of uni to go to the student centre and have your timetable adjusted. You need a solid reason though, just saying something like 'I want to be in the same class as my friend' or 'I want to sleep in' doesn't cut it.
