Why do all the atar calculators seem to be using data from 2011? 2012 data would be more accurate i woulda thought, or is it still not out?

option to do it by year, but only goes up to 2011.

I guess they haven't been updated yet but 2012 is not necessarily more accurate than 2011 because cohorts, exams etc change from year to year, and 2013 may be more similar to 2011 than 2012 even though 2012 is more recent.

yea that's true, but generally you'd think it'd be heading in a particular trend. Like maths and sciences are slowly beginning to scale worse or better or whatever.
