Atar estimate? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

So before I go back to studying, I just wanted to gather your opinion on the possible atar I could be achieving with the following subjects & ranks.

Advanced English 23/25
Biology 11/46
Chemistry 5/18
Business Studies 5/47
Textiles & Design 3/7 (the difference in each rank in textiles is literally by 1% or mark)

As you can see, the subject the I'm struggling with most is english, I've tried searching for other threads with students who are in a similar scenario but didn't find much. Will this hinder my overall result?

My school rank is past 250's give or take.

Hey jeneration,

I think all your other ranks are not too bad, but dat english will screw your Atar up to some extent. Overall I would say the English will pull you down, if you did bad in HSC. If you pull all your other subjects up in terms of marks in HSC exam, you can still get a good Atar, I would estimate your atar to be somewhere from 75 - 88. Good luck, just make sure you really work hard for your other subjects, don't worry about english now because english is all over.

your rank is not bad but the problem is your school itself rank is bad and there isn't many people per subject for you i think it's going to be around top80s unless you perform exceptionally well in hsc to get 90s

Studies of Religion (2 Unit) = 36/52
Legal Studies = 3/19
Modern History = 16/33
Biology = 20/34

My English Advanced class is really good, but SOR is really sucky.
