I think the correct way would be:

"A lot" is two words, and for your information, I am the grammar police.

It's not podantic, it's pedantic. Get it right.

Also,
His = possesive
He's = he is.

I was spelling it phoenetically to assist with the learning of others. I should of indicated i guess?
