While it might seem like it makes sense for a union, I don't think many kiwis will be for that idea.

Any plausible union would mean the rewriting of the Australian constitution. I'd assume a union between the countries would technically mean NZ becoming a state of Australia. I don't think the NZ parliament (or the people) would be up for merging with a country whose commonwealth government is eroding the powers of the states. Rewriting the powers of the commonwealth to give a completely exhaustive list that won't erode all the powers of NZ, will perhaps ease some fears on the NZ side (and on the side of current Australian states).

But yeah, I sincerely doubt the idea would fare well with kiwis.
well aturely there is a section of the australian contition that would alower it
but i think new zealand would only adsept it if australia were to become part of new zealand

Remember australia was discovered, founded, settled, developed and made it to a country called Australia as we see it today by the English. The real owners are the English, others are just overstaying visitors ;)

Theoretically, god created everything. God owns everything. Humans are the overstaying visitors.

That does not count as a theory. You and i may believe in a God, but it still does not qualify as a theory.

Reason: Its not scientific, nor does it adhere to even the fundemental princples of science.

So you are implying that for it to be theoretical, it must be scientific? ... Than tom cruise is the smartest of us all, I presume?

Yes. It has to adhere to some form of scientific notion.

 Hmmm, but that would be assuming the bible/qur'an are not theoretical. But we know they are, and to claim they are not is foolish. So therefore my use of 'Theoretically' in a religious context is fine.

Back to the topic on board, I don't think New Zealand and Australia 'should become one'. Reason? The Government has enough issues without New Zealands problems to add to them. To allow them to 'become one', we'd have to form or alternatively reform the current base of Government house. We'd have to make sure that New Zealand politicians + Australian politicians come together to make common laws, over a common body.

This would mean that everytime government calls, either of the two (preferrably NZ politicians) would have to jump on a jet. This makes things complicated.

EDIT: PLEASE Don't mention our lovely Queen. She's only visited us twice. Oh how cute.
