FIFA has already allocated 2014 to Sth America...Brazil has been put forward by CONMEBOL as the likely host, altho at this stage none of their stadia would probably meet WC standards.

So 2018 at earliest for Australia, but before then theres a chance to host the Asian Cup either in 2011 or 2015.

Australia doesn't have the stadia required atm to host a World Cup
There'd need to be some serious ground redevelopments if Australia ever got the chance to host the tournament
Also, the times that the matches would go through to Europe/America doesn't make Australia an attractive host nation either

well Japan is in our timezone so thats that point rulled out.

And when we bidded for the Olympics we didn't have the stadium capacity then either we built it. Just like Germany or South Africa are doing/done.

We have got a few good stadiums, the only problem is that they are spaced out across 3 states

and also the problem of what to do with other comps like the NRL, AFL and Union...would we have the room to be able to keep them all running at the same time?
