btw, how much extra history and geo do u guys do in yr 10, compared to yr 9?

We did the exact same amount.

In yr 9 we did history during semester 1
and geography in semester 2

In yr 10 we did history term 1 - the middle of term 2
and geography the middle of term 2 - term 3
then we go back to history three weeks before SC to do some revision.

We do it a completely different way... both courses done at once, however Geography 4 times a fortnight and History 3.

I did geography during the latter part of the year, so my yearly report will have my geography results. Thats how it works at my school.

wow! i actually didn't know taht until know - i think its heaps better because it means you can do less work for each subject and won't be marked down if your worse at one or the other.
In my trials they were together and i got 69% then i worked out that individually i got 82% for histroy and 56% for geography.

WOW, I feel really lucky, my periods are only 50 mins long. But my geo teacher is the worst bitch ever.

Mine are 45.... By the time the teacher arrives and everyone gets settled, we only have like 35 mins left. It's good and bad at the same time

They are tested together. You get to choose which one you want to do first, and you can start the next one whenever you finish the first one. The supervisers will give you a 'one hour sign' during the test so you know when one hour of the test has been up.

It depends.
Like for me, homework usually consists of work I didn't finish in class. And on the rare occasion, an extra worksheet or two. So longer periods are better for me.
