NSW state politics is a joke.

If anything, I'd vote greens

Please don't.

Voting for Greens = vote for Labor.

at least, if you don't want to pick, draw a scribble on the ballot paper, they won't know you did that.

You reckon? I think it would not go well with greens image to outright preference such an unpopular government. When an overwhelming number of New South Welsh man wanted to see Debnam kept out it was ok, but now I think the smartest thing to do for the greens is to try and strike out some kind of policy deal with O'farrell, that might upset the disenchanted socialists though. Probably smartest to just run an open ballot.

Yeah, or you could just vote Greens so there's a minority government to kick Labour into action, like in ACT.

Kick into action, nooo please, they have enough time to kick into action. What 15 years by 2011? They're worn out and out of touch - Barry will win just like how Rudd won over John Howard.

All you need is swag and propaganda. ;)

Labor does not deserve to hold any form of office in NSW for at least 20 years.

Why stop there? Didn't Sheik Hilaly's name get thrown into the mix sometime last year. Coalition between the Sheik's party and the shooters party can govern the state.

You realise you don't have to preference in state elections?

So someone can just vote "1" Green, and leave it empty, thereby not voting for Labor's incompotence nor voting for the Liberals, who're just going to fuck up the state by happily privatising every public-owned asset they can.

If you take issue with ever post I make, that says more about you than it does me.

Fact of the matter is, Greens are a mainstream party now and you'll have to learn to deal with that sooner or later.

The Greens, sir, are no longer needed... And don't confound us with the bourgeois world. You think that your star may rise again. Frens, Australia's star will rise and yours will sink! In the life of nations, that which is rotten, impudent and feeble passes and does not return

Why dont the right wing have a bastard child who wont obey or learn a thing too? Gun nuts and the like, calling for a radical roll back of the state and massive tax cuts

In case you didn't notice, Green politics these days aren't radical - they're fairly mainstream.

It's hard to say the same about Libertarianism (besides, perhaps, the social aspect to some degree), so that's hardly a logical comparison.

Either way, it's rather undemocratic of you to feel opposition should be stifled.
