Anyway, I'm in B Bus @ Kuring-gai at the moment, I'm just hoping for a late round B Bus/B Comp offer.
No you cannot overload and do two (unless with permission which you are unlikely to get). The reason for this is that your already specialising in another area anyways with your other degree, so in a way you are doing 2 majors (but from different faculties) and because the purpose of a combined degree is to get 2 degrees in a shorter period of time by meeting the minimum requirements for both degrees. If you really want to do 2 majors, then do the single BBusiness degree with your 2 majors and then do a postgraduate in your other area you would have originally combined with (such as IT, Science or Engineering).
Yeh. That is arguably one disadvantage of B Bus/B Comp, in that you can do only one major from business.
Kinda off the topic but shouldn't this post be in Information Technology sub forum, since B Bus/B Comp is run by IT faculty.

Well the questions have to do with Business, so it is fine here. Well if you are only interested in one area of Business, then its fine, and most students really only are interested in one of their majors.

sorri just one more question abt bbusiness/bcomputing, ive only done general maths in highschool but they say in the assumed knowledge that 2unit and extention maths is preferrable, am i going to struggle in any way because of this? is there anything i can do before i commence the course to help my situation?

You are welcome to do the 2 unit bridging course at uni, however, its not really required. I know people doing IT that are doing just fine with General Maths. In the IT side of the course, there is no maths (besides maybe some adding/subtracting and binary conversions) so really your level of maths is fine. They only say that because people with a greater mathematical background usually find programming eaiser. However, you can still get by it without having done higher level of maths.
There is more mathematical content in the Business side of the course, suprisingly. Having done General Maths, you might have a bit of an advantage with Statistics, as you will have to do this in your first or second year. On the other hand, you will have to use some formulas for accounting or finance (if you choose to do some of those subjects), so as long as you can solve formula's, then thats fine. A financial calculator can be used anyways. Perhaps knowing different types of graphs will probably help too, like linear, parabola, exponential, etc. I'm not sure if you learnt that in General Maths, but if you did then its good. Maybe knowing some basic stuff about logarithms and stuff might help, though again not necessary. Besides that, if your not going to be doing mathetical based stuff like programming and finance, then you should be fine for the rest of your course.

i was looking for a career in possibly E-business (although im not sure).. was i wrong to choose only the single degree and major in IT and E-Business (or something like that)..
should i have gone for a double??? i thought the structure of this course was pretty solid though..

That's up to you. If you don't want much of the the technical side of IT then the single degree is fine, however, if you were looking at getting into the technical side of e-business (like programming and stuff), then the combined degree would be better. The e-business major is mostly theory, so to get the practical stuff, you'll have to do that in IT. The IT major will teach you some, however the combined degree will teach you more.

You just have to register for an enrolment session ASAP (you should have done that by doing). Doing this is basically accepting your offer because you are provided with a student ID and e-mail account.8Ball said:

When you registered online for your enrolment session, you would have received an e-mailing telling you when your session is (ie. 3rd of February) and the time you have to go. If you haven't got that, it means you may not be registered, so try again.
You might want to prepare out what subjects and your timetable you would like to do, however, you don't have to if you're confused. Look at the other posts and threads for more info.

my uai isn't high enough to get into b business but i got into the business and computing course. which is alright for me but i just want to know how hard is it to transfer to the single business degree at uts? also if i enter into business for 2nd year, what happens to the remaining first year business units that i didn't do in b business and computing?

I'm not interested in doing a bachelor of computing either. I would like to know if it is hard to transfer to a single business degree and if so, when are you eligible to transfer. I would love to do it as soon as possible and was wondering if it is possible to do all the business subjects in the autumn semester and all the computing subjects in the spring semester. The standard program for students in the B Bus B Comp course states that it should be followed as closely as possible. my friend enrolled to do all business for one semester but as a bus comp studnet apparently one of the conditions is that u hafta do 1/2 bus n 1/2 comp subj? otherwise they can kick u out?
by doin a bus comp degree, u will have some of the basics for jus the b bus degree, and jus do an internal transfer, its not hard, im not sure when you do it, but all you gota do is geta C avg and write a 500 word essay stating why u wanna transfer.

B. yeah internal transfers aren't hard at UTS quite a few ppl transferred from bus/comp to b bus because thats what they planned from the beginning, bus/comp UAI is lower than b bus.

this year to me has been a bit wishy washy.. with many people getting into their courses with a uai under the cut off..
i wish it was like that when i just finsihed the HSC =(
