I can't really comment on the course in full, but it looks like a really analytical subject in which would be a good thing for a career as a stockbroker.

For more information, I'd read the handbook entry (http://www.handbook.uts.edu.au/sci/ug/c10155.html) and also contact the course director for more info(details are on the bottom of the handbook entry).

Ive recently accpeted an offer for B engineering/ B business at Uts
but I have also recieved an offer for B mathematics and finance

I was wondering which one would be a better choice considering job prospects and salary, and also the time required to complete the degree
(mathematics finance is a 3 year degree while eng/ business is 5 years)

I was thinking B business would encompass what finance mathematics would teach, and the maths expertise comming from the engineering degree.
but is the extra 2 years worth it.
is it necessarily true the more effort you put into a degree the more valued it would be compared to a degree that was relatively easier/shorter
