sorry to burst your bubble but you will find that everything at uni is boring and difficult
it's just a matter of but how much difference each course are...

thats only if youre doing shitty commerce courses which you feel you have to put up with for the end result. if you do something youre interested in, uni might be ok.

Marketing might not be boring, but the COMPULSORY subjects in commerce are sooooo boring. Even a girl who excelled in economics during high school told me that she's gonna drop commerce!

but nevertheless, it's a good degree to do because you get so little hours and probably a 'secured' future

media/communication is an art degree (or you can also do it in a science degree). This means that you probably can still choose psychology as your elective while you're doing Media and Communications

ooo i want to ask questions about this course too.

i'm interested marketing, but not finance/accounting aspect of it, so if i majored in marketing, i wouldn't have to worry about finance/accounting? are they completely separate courses or do they overlap?

what are the career prospects like?

for a bachelor of commerce you got compulsary subjects in the FIRST year
so your first term will probably looksomething like this
Accounting and financial management 1a
microeconomics
qma (similar to maths)
marketing fundamentals

and thenyour second sem will be
accoutning and financialmanagement 1b
macroeconomics
qmb
customer relationship management

then second year you can got more marketing subjects. so if you bare with the finance/accounting/economic subjects for a year, you can then focus on marketing

instead of finding a career and doing subjects to match, do the subjects you want to do, and then find a career from it

im not sure about specific numbers in marketing-major graduates, but im sure they are getting jobs somewhere

im not at UNSW, but marketing is fun. U get talk the same shit at all uni's so i guess i can tell u that i think its fun...really interesting

i dun think marketin is that fun.. maybe its just the fundamentals course but u get a huge advantage if u study biz studies apparently.. i am so lost in class hahah
but yeah if u like gettin up and presenting stuff then yeah give it ago..

you have presentations in almost all commerce subjects, so you'd have to get used to it
