Hi,
I was just wondering whether anyone currently doing this course (Bachelor of Applied Science (MRS) Diagnostic Radiography) could give me a quick run down of what its like, whether you like it or not, etc. I'm interested in applying for it this year as a back up for my preffered course (Medicine).
Thanks, any input would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi. I'm just about to finish up first year doing radiography.

I found it pretty tough in first semester because there's so much content. Units in semester one include physics, biochem, anatomy/physiology and prep for practice. Three out of the four units are all science based so you need to know your sciences pretty well. Expect to go 5 days a week and learn ALOT of content. A whole topic done in biology was crammed into 3-4 lectures in the biochem unit. The fourth unit is actually training you to take an x-ray and gives you information about clinical stuff. There's also a one week placement after semester one.

Pretty full on but I still find it enjoyable. Also theres a lot of med-rejects doing the course, like about 1/4.
