To say If I want to be a maths teacher or science teacher for secondary education, do you need to have another uni degree for maths or science?

I think that's only if you go usyd.

I think you just do a major in the subjects you wanna teach at other unis with your arts degree.

is that right?

i'd love to be doing an arts degree
arts provides the kind of holistic education that they should be teaching us at schools.

but in this horrible society, it's not worth the time and money when i know what i want to do with my life. i'll read books i promise

Some lady at my work did an Arts Degree in History/Literature. Then a Phd in Feminist Literature. Now she sells tickets and drinks with teenagers.

Arts is for people that can't read books or have thoughts by themselves.

easier alternative:

write the words 'B ARTS DEGREE' on a sheet of toilet paper.

tear it out and youve graduated from B Arts with lot less hassle.

tada!

What if youre doing an arts degree with a definite plan of continuing studies?
ie. majoring in psych then going on to honours and masters? NOT just doing psychology major then leaving after 3 years, I can see how that is retarded.

inb4 rants about psychology
