Doesn't really matter, but most will say UNSW is best.

What you want to do is research the degree. Go to the ANU website, go to the UNSW website, go to the Sydney website and look at what you can do - what subjects you can take, the structure of the course and all that stuff. I would also strongly recommend the Good Uni Guide for some good general information about the courses - and also strongly recommend that you do visit each university to get the feel and vibe of the course and to ask around about stuff.

Now, if you want my opinion: UNSW. =P

Well, I do lots of research and it brings me confusion man >"<

ANU has the highest ranking and people say it is good for Commerce too. But it is hard to find job as well as working experience in Canberra compared to Sydney
UNSW and Usyd: I have no idea but most of people say that UNSW is probably better.

I know you are UNSW's student :p. But do you mind to tell me the reason why UNSW is better (except the business school - the highest raking in Au)? How about its exams? Finding jobs when graduate?

Well, remember you don't have to work in Canberra if you get a degree from ANU. Though work experience might be difficult to come by, I'm sure if you asked the university to give examples of placements you could have during your degree - they should be able to help.

But, I chose UNSW Commerce because I was doing a Science degree already and I just chose it as a double. So... I can't definitively say.

The exams are pretty good, and apparently graduate outcomes are also very good (probably check what the Good Uni Guide says).

nobody recommend ANU while it has the highest ranking. Is it because of the region, weather? Are there any arguments else?

Rankings are usually based on like research, citations or the quality of teaching stuff (as in how many PhDs and the like they have), not on how good the undergraduate course is. For the most part, don't use them in choosing a university.

I see. I know getting a job in Canberra is very difficult but the certificate is valuable isn't it?

How about the quantity and the hands-on experience of these unis? 'cuz I do not really want to focus on academic since it does not help much in the future I think.

Thank you for your advice anyway :p

Yes, that degree you get you can go anywhere in the world with it to get a job.

And I'm not sure about the hands-on experience of these universities, that's something you can probably ascertain via research of the degrees itself. But I'm pretty sure each university does have some sort of experience stuff to do.

ANU has the best Commerce Degree in Australia, followed by Melbourne and then UNSW

ANU is essentially its own suburb so you're on campus a lot of the time and it's a whole community. Also, almost everyone is from interstate so it's easy to meet people because everyone is in the same boat! Downside: It's in Canberra and as you say, jobs are not readily available as they are in Sydney. But average salary of graduates is also well above the national average. Internationally, ANU is held in greater esteem than UNSW

UNSW also has a top Commerce degree but it doesn't have the 'community' vibe that ANU has. UNSW is harder to get into than ANU for Comm yet it isn't better and you wouldn't need student accommodation (if you are from Sydney). Jobs are easier to find and average salary of graduates is also well above national average and just above ANU.

Hope that helps!

I picked Macquarie University - their BComm has units that allow you to do an internship to count towards your degree, excellent career support services and the campus life is brilliant :)

What are you looking for in a uni? What sort of things are you hoping to do during your degree?

No that doesn't help. You show a lot of opinion, little fact. I'm not sure why you say ANU is the best university for commerce when UNSW has, on average, the highest starting salaries for graduates out of any uni in aus and also was the first Australian uni to get a 5 star QS international rating. Also the federal grad survey in 08 had UNSW as top learning environment for any uni in Aus.

So, OP. If you get the choice, make sure you go to USYD or UNSW. Best two unis to do commerce in NSW. If you care about your social life or something else, pick the others.
