I just wanted to know what the 'balance of credit points required' means in the study pattern?

Think of it as leftover room in your degree to do whatever you want, once u have finished the core and other pre-requisites.

I know some people who took up languages in 1st and 2nd year french to fulfill the remaining CP to get to the req CP. probably a good idea to do whatever your interested to boost up your resume/hobby etc.
