Band 1 in maths (1 Viewer)

Yo guys

Just a quick question here, i'm aware that only a very small % (like 1-2%) of the state gets a band 1 for this subject, yet i've been averaging around 50% in this subject and coming around 10-11/120 or so overall.

I asked my teacher about how many people got band 1's last year (whom were of similar caliber) and she said none, now i am as confused as hell, i thought a band 1 was 50 or so, yet all these people do considerably worse and nobody gets a band 1?

Yeah, 1% of the state get Band One in Maths... Maybe your teacher was stating that nobody in your school got Band One.

The average for General Maths in the State (2006) was 65.6.
