Hmmmm

To my knowledge, they basically don't release raw marks unless you specifically request it (and this is only occasionally granted - in the case of James King, BOS admin Team Leader, they refused because they knew he'd be smart enough to figure out the scaling thing :p).

However, it's a relatively good estimate to follow this example - B4 in EE1 is about 45-50, B3 is 40-45, and so on.

Scaling can also affect marks.

It changes every year. It depends on the difficulty of the exam and how the canditure performs.

i dunno about band 5 (E3 i presume) but my teacher said u need at least 21/25 for EACH of the two writing tasks(creative + critical) to get a E4

thanks for the bna 6 cutoff, some people in my school would be interested so based on previous years' performance theres no pattern to estimate a mark which would scale to 80?

what are you guys on about??? raw marks in extension get scaled you dont need 45/50 raw mark to get a band E4... Im not sure about EE1 but in mathsE1 70% goes to about 45/50 i think ..might be similar to EE1???
