What raw mark out of 120?

Is it true that 43% (from statistics) of students get a band 6? So does this mean if i go to a selective school and even if i'm a little above average, chances are i'll get a band 6?

dont think u can really say that ull get a band 6 for sure... things may change this yr... like ur grade may not go as well as u mite expect ... mmmmm...

you misunderstood the 43%.

he said that 43% of the STUDENTS get band E4.
which seems about right to me.

but why worry about this at all?
You do your best. It doesn't matter if you know how many get band E4 and how many don't.

the the first 6 question in the exam with reasonable good answers then you are set

i got raw marks at school of around 75-80 and i got 96 in 4U (2002)

I tell you, it felt alot easier to get than my 78 in english, lol

unlike other subjects, (ie english ) if you put in the hard work, you get the results for sure.

umm yea sure john, u were FIRST in 3u and 4u maths remember?? duh..of course u went really well
i'm happy with anything around 92..i'm around 70-75 raw mark so whatever...i find english ALOT easier than maths, u don't even have to study for it

well to tell the truth, i'm only a little above average at a selective school and i need a 99.xx UAI, which requires at least a band 6 (e4) for 4U maths(one of my strong subjects). I know i will try my best, but it very reassuring if i know i'll get the marks i want (or even better).
