I know about 15% of the students sitting the Mathematics exam achieve a band 6 but what is the percentage if all of the 2U people were removed?

EDIT: All those remaining would be extension one students - those sitting the 2U and 3U exams - that is not counting the 2U students.

Sorry jm1234567890 I thought it was clearer than what I actually wrote

Band 6: 14.50%
Band 5: 25.22%
Band 4: 28.33%
Band 3: 17.87%
Band 2: 8.52%
Band 1: 5.25%

These were the stats for all candidates - I was wondering what they would be with only those sitting both the 2U and 3U exams counted? I don't think the question is unintelligible - I don't know how else to word it???

Zarathustra, your signature is far too long.

The distribution of scaled marks for Extension 1 is representative of the distribution of scaled marks of the Extension 1 students on the Mathematics (2U) paper.

My calculations seem to indicate that, in 2001, approximately 35% of Extension 1 students would have achieved a Band 6 on the Mathematics paper. This implies that, of the 2470 students who achieved Band 6, 2184 (88%) of them also took Extension 1.

I don't think it's possible to make the same calculations for other years. Nowadays, the distributions of scaled marks for Extension 1 also include the scaled marks of Extension 2 students on the Extension 1 paper. These distributions were reported separately in 2001.
