Does anyone want to estimate? Expecially the band 5 cut off. Lol.

i duno mang but apparently 100/120 gets you band 6. i dont believe that mathematics would scale that much

here are some past years marks... this test seems similar difficulty to previous so i dont expect it to change too much:

2004: 101/120 ==> 93/100
2003: 73/120 ==> 82/100
2003: 66/120 ==> 79/120
2001: 96/120 ==> 90/100

I don't see how 73/120 could go to 82%. If it does, then thats great. Lol.

Getting scaled up would be nice, but seeing as my poor trial mark stuck im going to keep my hopes down.

101/120 goes to a 93/100 therefore a band 6....
hmm... my mum told me i lost more than 10 marks by looking at the exams and said i am outta band 6... this mite still give me hope!! =D

but maths scales up... and if your skool cohort does well it gets bumped up higher..... so yeah...

your 2006 paper seems easier than 2003 and 2005, so chances are that the cut off for a band 6 would be a lot higher than in the other years
if you get high 90s/ low 100s out of 120 then that should scrap you in a band 6 range

well it is pretty straight forward
some of the BOS members got their raw marks by the freedom of information act....its where you pay $30 or something for them to release your raw marks for the exam that you want, which is where michael probably got it from another thread.
so basically in 2004, a raw mark of 101/120 equates to 93/100 for the hsc exam mark
simple as that

Yeha, your question 9 and 10 actually seemed doable compared to our year's paper and 2003's (and this is by inspection with hardly any recollection of how to do them). Probably would have to be a higher raw mark for each corresponding band then, since it's easier to achieve.

y not? this hsc marker said that if everyone in ur year does well, it helps with the bumping.... coz like, internal marks mite be low... and then hsc marks higher.. the stuff...

2 hsc markers have confirmed dat so...........

I say that the band 6 cutoff would be bw 95-100, possibly 95/120 raw.

hmmmm u guys sure that is gonna b so low for the band 6 cut offz 98-100 seems so low its like 84 percent?
well if it is thats excelllent cause the exam was sooooo easi should get like 3 wrong to this point i hav lost 1 mark for writing greater then not greater then or equal to in the last qn second last part

the only problem is that i know some people at my skool who beat your mark, so u cannot come 1st in the state with 120.
Also,' kido_1' is looking at scoring 120 raw and although acts dumb has an assessment mark wich is really high, althu he thinks he mght make silly miatakes.
Also'speedo' is looking at getting 120, and although shows of has an assessment mark of 100. You can check speedo up as Arbaaz Patwe, Malek Fahd Islamic School, he will be on the honors list
These are 2 students who i know have beaten you, so sorry to say u cant get 120, but maybe u can still come in the top 50 in the stte, wich still gets u in the paper!!! with 3 rong.
