nah alot of people are talking shit on here I bet only a few will score 90+, basically this site is for heaps smart people on it, Just normal people at maths probly scored like 70's and 80s in this test so i dont think 100 or 1000s get 90s....

they dont change ur Exam mark!!!!!! U keep that no matter what it is, The only thing they change is the school assessment. I dont know what your teachers have been telling you!! If u get a 95, they arent gonna scale it to an 85 cuz lots of people went well.

Smartie87 is right. You keep your raw exam mark. It gets scaled when UAC are working out your UAI depending on how everyone else went.

so im thinking if you got a good school assessment mark say 93% would that mean your maths would be good still say if you got like 94% in the exam?

^ Yeah, I'm aware that moderated assessment marks are aligned, and thus the average for that subject, but the actual exam mark isn't. That's the whole point of the new HSC.

sorry to tell you but your wrong. "withoutwings" got her raw exam marks back and the moderated marks. her english exam went from 77 raw to around 87 after moderated. so "please we wont believe you"

EDIT BY WITHOUT WINGS: This statement about Without Wings is totally incorrect - I did not get my raw mark back, and i also did not get 87, tommy does not know what mark i got.
This goes to show you can't believe everything that is said on bos :)

man people on this forum dont know jack shit abotu bands lol

If you score better then the average you will not be scaled at all,

If you interneal assesment was 89% and your exam mark was 89% it will stay at 89% for general..

If your internal mark was 70% and your exam mark was 80% you will get 75%.

this is only if your score better then the average.

If you do not you may be scaled down.

align is the correct term, scaling's done for calculating UAI where your raw mark is 'scaled' to whatever the UAC decides (ie. down for general maths)

2001

Band 5: 11.25%
Band 4: 31.23%

Band 5: 12.42%
Band 4: 25.60%
Band 3: 29.36%
Band 2: 18.89%
Band 1: 10.16%

2003
Candidature: 30013
Band 6: 2.57%
Band 5: 13.74%
Band 4: 26.31%
Band 3: 29.14%
Band 2: 17.36%
Band 1: 10.37%
